Job Description

The Warranty Clerk prepares, records, and submits warranty claims to the factory and/or distributor and reconciles them accordingly. He or she verifies criteria required by factory or distributor and processes warranty claims on a timely basis for each franchise or distributor to ensure proper documentation including but not limited to maintaining all service records as required by the warrantor.  The Warranty Clerk reconciles all warranty receivables with payments through the appropriate accounting schedule, posts credits and resubmits all rejected claims promptly and follows up on payment of outstanding claims. 

In addition, he or she works with the Parts Department to ensure warranty return parts are properly accounted for and arranges for parts to be shipped to the factory or distributor, or to be scrapped and assists with the Body Shop warranty claims as needed while performing other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have strong computer skills, administrative and organizational skills and good time management skills.  Previous industry experience is preferred but not required.  Fluent English speaking and written communication skills, and professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position.
